- my poetry · 1) EVERYTHING · 3) THOUGHTS

Beware

I stood in the rain and turned my face to the sky like I always do
Embracing the drops and inhaling the thunder
Soaked to the skin
But as I stood there
I was struck by a terrible fear that I’d never had before
That the lightning and the storm would strike me where I stood
And it sent me hurrying inside because I knew the truth
Those you love most
Will do the greatest harm

I tried to write an actual poem about this, but got stuck halfway through. Should I try and finish?
